2. Types of Offerings
WIRIS offers infrastructure to its clients. WIRIS is not a learning management system, but it can be embedded in different managements systems to allow the content developer to deliver mathematical materials. WIRIS offers three products as follows:
1. WIRIS Editor
The WIRIS editor inserts mathematical formulas in web pages. This is very useful when teachers need to create mathematical formulas or equations on their course website for students. It also allows students to enter their responses directly online. Please watch the video below for a demonstration of how the WIRIS editor is used.

2. WIRIS Quizzes
WIRIS allows its clients to create quizzes by adding random variables, 2D and 3D graphs. It automatically evaluates the answers, and students have a formula editor to type in their answers. One of the best features of the WIRIS Quizzes is its randomness. When embedded in Moodle, WIRIS generates random questions from a question bank. This eliminates the opportunities for students to cheat, and also allows a teacher to re-assess students on the same concepts if necessary.
A mathematical expression can be represented in multiple ways. If a quiz assessing system only accepts one answer, then it would be marking all the other equivalent answers wrong. WIRIS eliminates this mistake by doing computations to find equivalent expressions or equations. For example, -2 + x is the same as x - 2. When a student enters one of the two expressions as the answer, WIRIS does computations to find out that if the answer given is equivalent to the answer that is stored.

3. WIRIS cas
WIRIS cas is an online platform or an online calculator that allows the user to perform mathematical calculations. It runs on Windows, Linux and Mac. WIRIS cas also has an offline version called WIRIS Desktop. The calculator has a primary school version that is easier and user-friendly to young students. The work performed on WIRIS cas can be exported to an HTML page and vice versa. Furthermore, the calculator also has the ability to analyze a graph by finding important info such as asymptotes and axes of symmetry.
